Initial thinking was that a static site would work, but the artist quickly realized that it was important for her to have some control over her site and be able to make updates and write new posts as new pieces were created. A major addition was a photo gallery where she can upload and remove photographs of her work very easily. Using a sidebar widget as a bulletin board allows her to keep current information about her exhibits and shows.
She is considering adding a shopping cart function and begin selling on-line. There are numerous shopping cart alternatives for the WordPress platform that can be incorporated seamlessly in her Blog.
